Posture coach for AirPods

Better posture.
Better presence.

The way you carry yourself changes how you feel and how others see you. Poise uses your AirPods to keep your head up all day, so the version of you walking into the room is the most confident one.

How it works

Three steps. One nudge.

You slouch more than you think. At your desk, in conversations, walking down the street. Poise watches for it using the motion sensors already in your AirPods.

  • Step 01

    Calibrate

Sit up straight. Tap once. That's your baseline.

  • Step 02

    Wear

Put in your AirPods and live your life. Music, calls, podcasts. Poise runs in the background.

  • Step 03

    Get nudged

Slouch too long, hear a gentle tone. Sit up.

The problem

2 in 3
adults

have forward head posture as their default. Sitting or standing, before they even pull out a phone. Including, statistically, you.

  • 130 studies. 10,000 people. Upright posture consistently raises confidence, mood, presence, and the clarity of how you think. The research is well-replicated.
  • A few minutes is enough. Lab studies show that a few minutes of slouching is enough to drag down your confidence, mood, and self-esteem. An hour of it changes how you carry yourself.
  • Felt before you can see it. Forward head posture builds across the day in the moments you're not paying attention. Poise notices for you.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

  • Do I need new AirPods to use Poise?

No. Poise works with any Apple headphones that have motion sensors: AirPods Pro, AirPods Pro 2, AirPods Pro 3, AirPods 3, AirPods 4, AirPods Max, and Beats Fit Pro. If you already own a compatible pair, you're ready to go.

  • Does Poise work while I'm listening to music?

Yes. Poise runs silently in the background while you listen, work, or commute. The nudges blend with your audio without interrupting it.

  • Is my motion data sent to a server?

No. All motion data from your AirPods is processed entirely on your iPhone. Poise never collects, stores, or transmits motion data to any server.

  • Is Poise a medical device?

No. Poise is a self-improvement tool designed to help you be more mindful of your posture. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. If you have posture-related health concerns, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

  • How much does Poise cost?

Poise is $11.99/month, or $69.99/year (just $5.83/month). Annual plans come with a 14-day free trial; monthly plans get 7 days. You can cancel anytime in your Apple subscription settings.

  • How does Poise know when I'm slouching?

When you sit up straight and calibrate Poise once, the app stores your upright head position as a baseline. As you go about your day, AirPods report small changes in head tilt. When you've drifted from your baseline for too long, Poise plays a subtle audio tone to remind you to straighten up.

  • How is Poise different from a posture corrector?

Posture correctors are physical braces you have to wear under your clothes. Poise uses sensors that are already in your AirPods, so there's nothing extra to put on. You can also wear a brace and use Poise at the same time. The app just tracks head position and won't interfere.

  • Can Poise help with text neck?

Yes. Text neck is forward head posture. It happens when your head drifts forward of your shoulders for long enough that your neck muscles adapt to it. Poise notices the drift early and pulls you back. Over time the awareness builds, the strain fades, and the slumped mood that came with it fades too.

  • Is Poise better than setting timers to remind me to sit up straight?

Timers are blind. They fire whether you're slouching or not. Poise only nudges when it actually detects bad posture, and stays quiet when you're already sitting tall. You get fewer interruptions and the reminders land at the moment they matter.

  • What's the best posture app for working from home?

Poise is built for exactly this. If you're at a desk in AirPods most of the day, Poise quietly tracks your posture in the background while you work, take calls, or listen to music. There's no extra wearable, no screen to check, and no interruption to your focus.

  • Does Poise work with Beats headphones too?

Yes. Beats Fit Pro have the same motion sensors as AirPods and work the same way with Poise. Other Beats models without motion sensors (Studio Pro, Solo, Powerbeats) aren't supported because they can't report head position.
