Which AirPods work with posture apps?

Poise lists AirPods Pro, AirPods 3 and 4, AirPods Max and Beats Fit Pro as supported headphones. The decisive check is whether Poise receives motion updates from the pair connected to your iPhone.

2. Open Poise and allow the requested motion access.
3. Complete the headphone check and calibration in setup.

What about Beats Studio Pro, Solo and Powerbeats?

Beats models vary. Check the exact model rather than relying on the family name.

Beats Fit Pro is on Poise's support list. Other Beats models are not confirmed by this guide. Check the exact model and the app's motion check; do not assume either that every Beats model works or that none has motion-related hardware.

Which phone and operating system?

Poise requires iOS 18 or later. The iPhone must have motion permission enabled for the app. If the headphones switch to another device, reconnect them to the iPhone. A successful audio connection is useful to check, but does not by itself prove that motion data is reaching the app.

Do I need both earbuds?

No. Poise works with just one AirPod in, so you don't need to wear both.

Will it use more battery?

During testing, Poise made no measurable difference to battery use, even with background sensing enabled. Battery use may vary with your devices and usage.
